Had a December trip to KK with 8 of my working colleagues. It's our R&R Getaway trip. We went there on the 12th Dec til 15th Dec. Had a lot of fun although there were some minor hiccups each day esp when it comes to ordering our food at some restaurants.

Either we didn't get our food at all or the waiter/waitresses didn't wrote down our menu. Nevertheless we had fun spending time together, snorkeling, parasailing and banana boat-ing at Manukan and Sapi Island.

Ok...I went into that theater so excited for a movie that i had been waiting for for a long time. All i can say is that I hated it. It really hurts me to say this because i am in love with the series and the characters and the storylines but it was very disappointing.

Story wise, it felt like they tried to fit in so much stuff, but the really important parts they gave little or no focus to, but instead spent time showing stuff that was kinda pointless or stupid. Example: When glazing over the traveling from town to town and how Aang and Katara practiced water bending along the way, they show them standing in a river pretty much doing Tai Chi (with no actual bending visible) for a good couple of minutes. So to me, that and several other scenes like it are a waste of precious story telling time.

I had issues with the actual bending sequences. The effects in and of themselves were great. But there was WAAAAY too much actual movement without any elemental reaction. They did like 15 grand flowing movements before water even starts to ripple. And they stuck firm to that benders can only use elements that are present, namely fire-benders. They can only fire bend if there is a fire present. Kinda lame.

I do not believe the "Avatar: the Last Airbender" fandom died with this movie, because the series is honestly that good. I do believe that no one wants to see Book 2 in theaters. I went to see a movie, and what I ended up seeing was a funeral for what could have been a great trilogy.

Critics need to learn how to keep things in perspective. This is a GREAT popcorn movie you can take your kids to see and not worry about typical Hollywood innuendo. There is love without any sex, beauty without revealing clothing, and action without gore. This is a fun filled family movie and the critics need to understand audiences better.

The special effects are outstanding, Nicholes is awesome, Jay is funny, and the mop scene is a nice "tip of the cap" to Fantasia. Parents become kids again while watching with their kids, which is what Disney is best at.

Inception is absolutely one of the best Science Fiction movies has been ever made and it makes you to think about most of the scenes and wait to see what can happen in future. Science fictions are supposed to be made this way. It is not fun to watch a movie which has many confusing parts, and ends without any conclusions; however, in Inception, the story is told very clear in the beginning and the audience will enjoy the rest of the movie, many questions may pop up, but there are answers for all. After the movie, some people would come out saying "I am really confused now!” obviously, they were paying NO attentions during the movie. It is clearly understandable and extremely fun to be watched.

The Storyline is very interesting and has its uniqueness, you know what is the plan but you cannot wait to see what is about to happen!!! Christopher Nolan has directed very well and it is one his best movies. Acting is superb and they have gathered great casts, Leonardo Dicaprio has done a ft fabulous job as always and MAY be an Oscar nominee. And last but not the least, the visuals in Inception is outstanding! Great visual effects and interesting ways of showing things have been used in this movie.

In overall, this is one of the best science fictions movies, one of the best movies of Christopher Nolan and Leonardo Dicaprio. Definitely worth to be watched and hope you enjoy it.

Its the weekendi n its sunday, but i didnt have any fun today!! Dah tah di rumah saja ku all day, bored berabis n MEMBUAT KERAJA for next week lawatan ani. This movie doesn't have the intensity of Gladiator, nor does it have the top level acting. However, it is a good movie in it's own way. The movie is definitely entertaining and has plenty of action scenes. Russell Crowe is just as good in this movie as he was in Gladiator, but script is not. If you are looking for some good entertainment, action scenes and you love a movie with some good digital audio, then this is a good movie to go see. Just don't expect a great story with this one. BTW... it is much better than Clash of The Titans.

Not as scary as the old freddy krueger

The new Freddy made me long for the old Freddy. This guy's profile, voice and mannerisms were ALL wrong. He was out and out distracting. The original Freddy scared the crap out of me -- and all the ways he'd show up seemed creative and new.
Maybe this movie just couldn't be imaginative since all they're doing is trying to recreate a cleverness which was already done so well. I'd suggest anyone who think this plot is a great one (which it is) go back and watch the first Nightmare.

Ip Man 2 is a great movie. I really enjoyed watching it. Ip Man 2 is quite good, lots of great fighting scenes but the storyline is somehow abit short and just too simple. Ip Man 1 have a better storyline but less fighting scene. But oh well both of them are good enough and worth watching.

When in Rome isn't a movie that requires you to think or is meant to be taken seriously. It's a film that just wants to have fun and to have a heart. And really, could you ask for more? The acting is better than expected, the scenery is beautiful, and the humor works for the most part.

Overall, When in rome is funny, lighthearted entertainment that's worth the trip. There are some chuckles along the way and some parts where your heart strings are tugged at. It is also very entertaining and will keep you glued in your seat.

Its kinda sad to see them crying coz they're f-ing scared seeing it. Im scared myself. Bulan April ani tah yang paling banyak incidents atu. It's like a series of Supernatural, Ghost Whisperer and Paranormal Activity.

Just got home from watching a movie with my close colleagues Datun, Lina and Liza. Lina texted us to join her coz she just wanted to release some tension and stress from her work. Guess her new work environment was as friendly and homey as SRDB. Had our lunch at Jollibee Qlap Mall before the 1.45pm show.

Pretty university student Siti Laila a.k.a Stila (Lisa Surihani) comes from a good family background and is well to do while Leto (Farid Kamil) is an average Joe who works as a fishmonger in the wet market opposite Stila's posh residence. They meet one day when Stila follows her mother, Datin Fairuz, to buy fish for dinner with Stila's boyfriend, Raymond.

The film tells the story of Stila (Lisa Surihani), a lone child in a wealthy family who falls in love with Leto (Farid Kamil) a youngster who lives a modest life and does not have a fixed career. Stila experiences the wonders of life whenever she's with Leto, however the joy is short lived when Stila's parents (Shaharudin Thamby and Nanu Baharudin) disapprove of their relationship.

Overall, i enjoyed watching the movie. It has some good funny moments. The only part i didn't like was the ending.

How to Train Your Dragon

I watched this in the afternoon at Empire Cinema at 2.40pm - alone time.

The movie tells of a weakling of a Viking named Hiccup who wants to follow in his father’s footsteps and be a great dragon slayer. Unfortunately, Hiccup can barely lift a sword, so he is assigned to assist the blacksmith in reforging and sharpening the weapons used against the dragons that plague their village called Berk. Eager to join the fight, Hiccup devises his own tools with which he manages to bring down a dragon. When he heads off to slay his fallen foe, however, Hiccup learns some new things about the dragons that would go against everything his people believe about the creatures. What follows is a remarkable and exhilarating adventure

It doesn't take much to please me, but I thought this movie was a lot of fun. If you like other animated flicks such as UP or the Incredibles, you'll like this one. It has a very pixar style to it as it's never too serious and neither are the animations. Just one thing though, i didn't like the voice for Hiccup. The voice just doesn't fit with the character.

Oohh i like Sam Worthington. So that's one reason why i like the movie. Another reason is, i love movies about greek myths. Its just so interesting to watch those creatures and the greek gods. Its entertaining as always. A great movie to watch. Could be greater if it has the fighting effects just like in 300. Hehehe.

Sambutan Maulud Nabi & Hari Kebangsaan

Saturday 6th March

We had 2 in 1 function celebrate, Maulud Nabi & Hari Kebangsaan. We all had to wear baju melayu, any colour from our national flag.

So its either we have to wear yellow, red, black or white.

I wore white that day. For the national day celebration, the kids had a choir competition.

They had to sing any of he national day song.

We only have 4 days for rehearsal. Monday util Thursday. Monday we had to choose the kids.

So rehearsal only starts on Tuesday. For my team, Laksmana, we

initially chose the slow number "Sumpah & Janji"

which in my opinion would be a great song for a choir competitiion.

But unfortunately, we had to change it to "Tekad Kemerdekaan".

Though i was the team leader, i didn't have enuff free time to rehearse with the kids. So i just had to

choose the kids that's gonna be in the choir group. Didn't have any

movements though in their performance. Too bad.

Fortunately, we didn't came in the last position.

We took the 3rd position.

The L word Farewell Function

4th March, Thursday afternoon we had a function for our ex-colleagues. The L word - Liza, Linda and Lina. They're now working at a new school. S.R. Sungai Hanching, S.R. Dato Mahawangsa and S.R. Kapok respectively. We celebrated the function at Aneka Rasa Restaurant, on the second floor.

Had so much fun with my colleagues. I sang some songs with Aziah namely Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Koi Mil Gaya. During this performance, one of my colleague, Hamni, the fun and out-going gal uses a table cloth as a sari. She never fail to amuse us. Hehehe.

Just watched Case 39 at Empire Cinema...alone...hehe

Was supposed to watch it with my friend but he ditched me to hang out with his UBD pals HAHAHAHA....Like watevaa nangis ku hehehe (^,^)

"Case 39" is a supernatural horror that keeps you at the edge of your seat. It has all of the elements of a supernatural horror, only without all of the blood and gore. It is perfect for a person that enjoys watching horrors but hates all of the gore. It kept me in suspence from the very start of the movie.
"Case 39" is about a Family Services Social Worker, Emily Jenkins, who encounters a young girl with a troubled family. Her family had tried to kill her. Emily saves the little girl, Lilith Sullican, and desides to take care of her untill they find the right foster family. Thats when all the real horror begins. The plot grips you tights and dosn't let go until the very end.
Renee Zellweger's acting was exellent. She played the role of Emily Jenkins. You can see the fear in her eyes from what is going on. Her acting is so realistic that you can't believe that she is only acting. Jodelle Ferland, who plays the role of Lilith, deserves an oscar for her superb acting. When she stares at you, you get chills. You would never believe that a 14 year old girl could do that. As for the rest of the cast they acted there parts perfectly.
The music in the movie is terrific. It makes you feel scared just like the characters. At the start of the movie where things are calmer, there is soft music that goes along with the setting. Each scene had its own score. When the horror starts the music gets louder and creates a frightening atmosphere.

The setting is created perfectly. The house in which Lilith was first staying had a creepy atmosphere to it. It stood out in the neighbourhood. Each area of the movie gets scarier by the second.
This movie is a must for any horror fan. If you enjoy horrors without any gore or blood then you certenly will enjoy this one. Everything from this movie is superb. The twists and the turns keeps you in suspence. This movie is perfect.

It also kinda reminds me of another 'crazy and weird girl' from the movie Orphan..hehe..

I give this movie a 10/10

Im gonna watch a horror movie tonight entitled "Niyang Rapik" @ Qlap Mall. Just hope its not that scary hehe...don't wanna scream all through the movie. It's always the loud and sudden sound effect that scares us. I know im not gonna drive my car tonight. Just gonna let my friend pick me up. Haha..

Movie Plot:

A group of university students travel to a village called Niyang Rapik to conduct research for their studies. There, they meet Laila (Liyana Jasmay), the daughter of the village headman. Last Dec 2006 my area was flooded. The water entered my room and my bedroom was flooded up to my knee. Because of that, a few weeks later, when i was standing on my bed, some parts of it broke but my dad fixed that problem. So 3 years has passed and my bed was still ok, still standing, still can withstand my weight.

Unfortunately yesterday night, my bed could hold no more. It couldn't withstand the weight that it was holding. My friend was sitting in the middle when i wanted to take a pic of him. Then another friend joined and just few seconds of sittin, before i took their pic, BAMMMM, the bed broke. Well of coz i wasn't happy to see that happening infront of me but hey...my poor bed couldn't withstand the power. I LOVE that bed. Guess it was time to say goodbye to it. So im gonna survey some furniture shops tomorrow and try to find something that is similar to my broken bed. Was hoping to save some money this month coz i need it for my upcoming bday next month.

It was chinese new year. So i went to my colleague's place in Muara. Went there with my other colleagues - Ka Marlia, ka Mas, Ka Rozi, Nurul and Liza. It was Lina's final day at SRDB on Saturday. We had so much fun and loads of stories were told.

Interesting stories about one pri school teacher who just teaches - open ure book, read this page, do this exercise and then bammm..she just sits down and goes on9!!!! She did that even when she was being observed by the GB. And what happened after that?? I guess nothing. Im guessing the GB is afraid to warned her as i was told that this gal's dad works at the 'pejabat' or something. So what if here dad has a higher post? If she doesn't do her work well..she's shud just be given a warning and damn good lecture!!!! But she's now only given subject lukisan and menjaga library. And She didn't even do her job well either. Inda kena suruh ambil m.c. for few days coz library kan kena lawat..then the next day she gives her GB her M.C for a week!!!! WTH!!!!! What does her GB do..NOTHING!!!!!!!!

Told this story to my cuz last night and apparently..this gal's lil sista has the same problem at my cuz's school. Maybe these two gals did that coz they're aware of who their father is?? Probably?? What my cuz told me abt her lil sis is kinda familiar. She goes in the class to teach, gives them their work and she then goes out of the class to go and eat. 5-10 mins befoe her class ends, barutah she goes back in. Probably one of them yang kena mentioned about dalam newspaper few days ago ah. About a teacher online masa teaching. Well i dont know what's their problem. If they don't like teaching that much..shudn't they just quit and do something else? Rather than letting all of her pupils fail?? Yup..dats what i heard too. Something needs to be done. Their GB SHOULD do something rather than letting them do wateva just coz who their father is!

We had a small gathering at Charcoal for DD's Farewell Dinner. Just some close friends.

It was a fun dinner. Full of laughters ;). I was the 1st to arrive that night, then Donni and lisa. We had to wait for half an hour for the rest to come.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

After watching a good movie in the afternoon, i was really looking forward to watch another movie - Percy Jackson and the lightning thief. I have to say I was completely looking forward to this movie after I saw the trailers. As a person interested in mythology and great visual effects I figured this movie would fit the bill. Now I have to say the movie was good, definitely geared towards towards those who like Harry Potter and other movies with powers.

I have only two real issues with this film: One, they should have shown more scenes with the mythological creatures. Unfortunately, there's not enough going on in the film to sustain the needed excitement. and 2. The movie should have been tweaked a bit more to make it more cohesive. All in all I say this is one you should definitely go to as the visuals are stunning and the plot is fun as well. Ohh..the voice for Hades when he was in his devil form was kinda funny tho. It didn't fit with the flaming devil ehehehe.

The Wolfman - A great Thriller Movie.

saw two good movies on Thursday 11th Feb.
Saw "The Wolfman" alone at Empire Cinema at 3.30pm. By the time i got there and wanted to buy a ticket, found out that the movie is playing at Cinema 1. The least fave of mine coz the seats are uncomfortable and its too damn close to the screen. So i was at first hesitant to watch it but finally had to choose the VIP seats. That costs me $20. Well at least i got me a free drink and food of m choice. Plus it was comfy as i was the only one sitting at that area. hehe.

Just from the poster alone I was hooked. By the time I saw the teaser, I knew this was a must see. This is one of those movies that you don't want to miss. If you are a fan of mythological thrillers this definitely a movie you must see.

The werewolf classic wolfman was world renowned and a start to the genre that exists today. Now in 2010 we get to witness it again in a new way. In movies such as these we were worry about the storyline and most of the acting cast. We don't want a rookie cast trying to fulfill a masterpiece it's risky. Well have no fear the cast is far from rookie. The cast for this film includes the following Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Hugo Weaving, Emily Blunt, and Art Malik. But such names as Anthony Hopkins, and Hugo Weaving, and Benicio Del Toro working together should make the film memorable, one that should not be forgotten.

I think that this new wolfman not only having a great cast but having an awesome script should do very well. You the typical lets hunt the wolf, publicly kill it for all to see that they've destroyed the beast.... wrong! It goes all wrong and the wolf hunts the huntsmen. That sounds awesome to me. Action, drama, horror, the perfect combination. 5 stars in my book

Damn! One of the scariest moment of my life!!! I was in my room kan watch dvd. Sekali i heard something arah my computer desk. Something mcm moving along the plastic. So i tot it might be a mouse or something. So ku start to panic. Ku panggil amah n suruh ia meliat wats behind the pc desk. And baru ia masuk bilik n ku shine the torchlight arah desk area. she sed, Panjangnya ekor. Terus ku melompat on my sofa atu. Sekali my amah meliat behind the desk then she finally sed, Its a SMALL BIAWAK! FCUK! It was a HUGE BIAWAK in my eyes! How did it get into my room? From the tv room window? From the toilet drain hole? I hate lizards..small lizards. this was A BIGG lizard! It needed two amahs to handle it while aku pigang my niece standing on my sofa feeling TAKUT. Pisans ku eyh sweating olehnya. Inda ku dpt imagine IF while ku watch dvd sekali bejalan that lizard infront of me..Im am so use cello-tape and gam drain hole atu.

5 days of M.C

Got 5 days of M.C from RIPAS

Just a precaution. Guess that's why they gave me those 5 days rest.

Starting 30th Jan Saturday till 3rd Feb

Spent most of those times watching dvds and staying in my room

Its a good time for me to do some pending works too

Gotta wear a mask at home since i got 3 small kids in this house too.

Need to be extra careful.

I also got 3 medicines that i need to take within these 5 days.

Amoxycillin, Loratadine and Benadryl. HATE taking the bendaryl tho. I DON'T like the taste of that black liquid. So disgusting hahahaha... yup..i don't like taking those liquid medicines at all.

I forgot which medicine is for which symptoms. I go flu, cough, sorethroat and phlegm

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

I so wanna watch this movie. It looks like a great fun movie. Plus its about a vampire with cool powers hehe.

Darren Shan is a regular teenage kid. He and his friend Steve find out about a Freak Show coming to town and work hard at trying to find tickets. They do, and together they go to "Cirque du Freak" where they see many strange acts including a wolf-man and a bearded lady. Steve and Darren think that it is all a joke until a vampire, Larten Crepsley comes on with a very poisonous spider that he makes do tricks. When Steve sees this man he freaks out a bit but won't tell Darren why. After the show, Steve tells Darren to go home, and that he will follow later. Darren says yes, but instead sneaks upstairs to see what Steve is up to. He sees Steve talking to Mr. Crepsley and overhears their conversation. Steve tells Mr. Crepsley that he knows that his real name is Vur Horston and is a Vampire. He tells Larten that he would like to join him and become an apprentice. Mr Crepsley says he must test Steve before he agrees, and when he does he reveals that Steve has "bad blood" and he will not transform him. Steve becomes angry but Darren leaves the theater and doesn't see what happen next. Darren goes home and thinks about what Steve did, but also cannot stop thinking about Mr. Crepsley's Spider. The next day he steals the spider with the hopes that he will be able to make it perform tricks too. Meanwhile, Steve is acting as if nothing happened. Darren manages to train the spider by using a flute to hypnotize it (what Larten did). Darren invites Steve over to show him the spider, but when Darren is making it perform tricks on Steve, Darren's sister comes in and breaks the noise, and thus causes the spider to bite Steve. Steve becomes very ill, and is rushed to the hospital where the doctors say that there is nothing they can do. Darren decides to see Mr. Crepsley about the possibility of an antidote. The vampire agrees to give him the only cure if Darren agrees to become his assistant, and half vampire. He does. Steve gets better but starts to realize that Darren is now part vampire and becomes angry, jealous and betrayed. Larten stages Darren's death and Darren is buried. Mr. Crepsley comes to dig up Darren and leave. He does and gives Darren a moment to say goodbye to his hometown. Then Steve shows up and tells Darren about all he knows. He says that Darren and Mr. Crepsley were planning the betrayal all along and that Steve doesn't really have bad blood, which Darren knows is not true. He tries to explain about the spider, but Steve cuts a small cross into the flesh of his left palm and swears on his blood that he will kill Darren and his mentor Mr. Crepsley. Darren shakes off the warning and leaves with Mr. Crepsley. It is rumored that the film will be based on the first three books, if this is true then we will see Darren's reluctance to accept his life as a vampire and meet the character Sam. On top of this, he will have his first run in with the vampenezee a race of creatures who kill to eat unlike the vampires.

It is important to note that, in this story, vampires are not evil creatures. They never kill when they feed, do not bit in order to transform others, and do not have an evil purpose in life.

And, just so you know, the vampires in this movies aren't fanged creatures who cant go into the light, or who can turn into bats, or anything like that stereo-type crap. It is more realistic. Like how they don't live forever, they just age real slowly. They don't suck blood through their teeth, they cut open a vein, suck a bit of blood then heal the wound with their spit. They can go into sunlight but not forever because they can get burnt real easily.

But as Derek slowly adapts to his new position, he begins to rediscover his own forgotten dreams.

I watched it last night @9.30pm at Qlap Cinema. I love the Rock. He's just funny and what a great body. The movie was pretty good to me. I never listen to critics because they are way too uptight on movies. Its all about the people that go out and see the movie for them selves. If your the type of person that follows the critics and doesnt see a movie because they dont like it, well then your a dum-dum and have missed a lot of good movies.

This movie is a classic for children of all ages. It is a great family movie that will also be enjoyable by adults. The acting was great and the plot is very good. Although it is not a romantic ride, couples would enjoy it to an extent, but I would also bring the children if any or sisters and younger brothers. Great work on the visuals. Lembeck. Judd and Johnson rocked together!! This movie had the audience laughing and we liked the way it encourages optimistic attitudes. It was just fun, family entertainment.
